The Permanent Exhibition
The permanent exhibit displays up to eight works by each Guild member, to be seen throughout the gallery except the "Back Room". The exhibit changes as pieces are sold, or are changed at the discretion of the individual artists in consultation with the hanging committee.
The foyer space is reserved for miniature paintings, craft works, jewelry and cards. The main room shows one work from each of the Guild members. The other rooms and the hallway show the other works, up to eight per artist, usually, but not always, grouped together. Artists often offer matted but unframed paintings and prints with their other work.
Examples of each of the Guild members may be seen in the
membership section of the website by clicking on the name of the individual artist.
The Art Walk
The Art Walk was devised several years ago by the Guild to introduce residents and vistors to the famous Hope wood carvings and work by members of the Guild, and also serves as a fund-raiser for the gallery.
The Art Walk Map shows a route passing most of the chain-saw carvings by Peter Ryan and "Doc" Robert Ford, and also many businesses which exhibit art work by members of the Hope Artists' Guild.
Art Walk maps are available at the Hope Visitors Bureau on Water Street (see map in the
Visitor Information)section of this website, and at many of the retail stores and businesses in Hope. Advertising in the Art Walk Map is a substantial and important fund-raiser for the gallery.
