I was born in Kamloops June 1927. Went to school there till the age of 16, then went to work at Tranquille T.B. Sanitorium for a few years.
Did a lot of pencil sketching at that time, couldn't afford paints & brushes.
Moved to Vancouver, B.C., had a few jobs then got married. Attended night classes public speaking, upholstering, flower arranging, pattern designing, dress making, cooking, alterations, ceramics, and at last oil painting. Just loved it.
After my husband died I went into business for myself. The dressmaking and alterations business didn't leave much time for pleasurable pursuits till I retired.
Painting is one of my pleasures.
