From an early age, Linda has always been drawing and painting. As a child in school, her talent was recognized by her teachers and she won many awards for her acheivements. However, soon out of school she pursued a singing career and put her art interests on hold for many years. Eventually her passion for art called her home to Squamish B.C, where she opened her own sign studio. However, doing commercial work did not leave her a lot of time or energy for exploring her own interests , and she continued in the sign business for about 16 years. The last 9 years have been spent working for Vancouver's film and television industry. Through all this time, Linda has always wanted to commit more energy into her own painting but this did not happen until moving to Mission,B.C. There, she met Ron Hedrick, a well known and highly successful impressionist painter who taught painting classes out of his home. Immediately, Linda began focusing on her painting more and, along with many of Ron's students became a founding member of the Stave Falls Artist Group. Linda has also attended workshops and classes from other instructors such as renowned American artists, Michael Bingham and Michael Albretchson, as well as Canadian landscape artist, Paul Chizick. In her sincere attempt to dedicate more of her life to her artwork she has recently relocated to a log cabin in the beautiful mountains of Hope,B.C, which she shares with her husband, two dogs, two horses and a cat. She intends to further her career as a painter by drawing on the inspiration of the gorgeous surroundings in which she lives. She is also a member of the Hope Artists Guild. Linda enjoys working in oil, acrylic, watercolor, and graphite. Linda loves to paint landscapes, which allows her to be free and spontateous but also indulges in the intricacies of details which are shown in her paintings of fine china. Linda's work is currently being displayed in Mission's Stave Falls Studio, Hope Art Gallery and the Marshall Clark Gallery in Whiterock.
