Born in 1941 in Vancouver, BC, Judy moved to Lulu island (now Richmond, BC) at the age of 12, She attended Bridgeport, Cambie, and Richmond Sr. High School. After jobs in Vancouver and Richmond she travelled in Europe. returning home she married and raised a family while continueing to work.
In 1986, Judy and her husband, Fred, retired to Kawkawa Lake in Hope, BC, choosing to be near the mountains, streams and rivers, which have been an inspiration to her artistic gifts. Their camping trips and travels to visit family throughout BC and Alberta also allowed her to nurture this talent.
She now has time to pursue her dreams in arts and crafts. Although her interets include watercolours, acrylics, and tolepainting, her first love is oil painting. She enjoys a wide variety of sunjects, includig landscaped, wildlife, portraits, and whatever challanges her quest for growth. Judy is a member of the Hope Artists' Guild. her works hang in many homes throughout this continent.
