Diane L. Mackenzie
Watercolour Artist
Ph: 604-796-2119
Diane is a self-taught artist, learning from books, fellow artists, evening classes, or weekend seminars, every chance she has. She works as a Journeyman Trades Painter for a living and paints on "anything", including doing wall murals, and teaches adult classes in her spare time.
She was born in Armstrong, B.C. and grew up on small farms in the Shuswap area. In 1972 she moved to Fort McMurrey, northern Alberta, with her husband and two children, and enjoyed eleven-and-a-half years there, which instilled a real affinity for the north.
She now resides in the Agassis-Harrison area on a small acreage and is definitely aclimatized to the West Coast Lifestyle! Her work reflects her rural roots and her love of nature. Being very experimental by nature, the challange of watercolour has become her medium of choice. Her main goal as an artist is to have fun and bring enjoyment to others.
